1. Only one third of teens prefer piracy

    Habbo Hotel survey shows that there is still hope in the world of music:

    One thirds of teens prefer to download music without paying for it, [..] while 21% of US and 20% of UK teens prefer not to stump up for their tracks.

    That is terrific: even though piracy is still rampant, there is hope: it is only a minority that prefers it.

    It gets better:

    one fifth of teens around the world still buy CDS – in Sweden it’s 40%, in Germany 37% and Denmark 35%. But a mere 14% of US Habbos polled still buy this musical plastic.

    So where do the other 46% go?
