    Why will Spotify succeed where Rhapsody has failed? They are approximately the same price per year. Both have large catalogs, both are streaming, both have mobile apps. Is it the UI? Something else I’m missing?

    For me the essence of Spotify is speed. It is so instantaneous, I still cannot understand how it is possible. This means the application actually reacts at least as fast as iTunes with a local database. Sounds like a detail, but it is not. Because it is as quick as a local database, but on top it is unlimited in selection, there are simply no better solutions. The result is that even though I built up quite a collection on iTunes, it’s been weeks since I last used it.
